Overcome One of the Largest Barriers to Teaching Yoga Effectively:
Learn to Teach Yoga in Courses, Not Classes
What’s the biggest misunderstanding in yoga today?
That you can just go into any yoga studio and start practicing yoga.
You don’t just start walking. You don’t just start riding your bike. You don’t just start driving your car.
You have to learn it.
Yoga is no different. Yoga isn’t just about putting your body into shapes – it’s about so much more: Developing body awareness and proprioception, learning to live more healthily.
Empower Others with Skills for Self-Healing & Self Care
Studies show that yoga offers one of the greatest tools for enhancing wellness and reducing symptoms of ill health. For many students, however, the numerous benefits of yoga are inaccessible, because yoga teachers don't have the specialized teaching skills needed to make yoga accessible to EVERY body.
Learn to teach therapeutic yoga and wellness courses focused around two of the most popular wellness topics today - Yoga for Osteoporosis and Functional Aging as well as Yoga for Posture Improvement.

WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY
Just wanted to express my gratitude for this absolutely amazing course. As a nurse, I had to memorize all the muscles, bones, nerves etc., only to forget them as soon as the test was done. Julie Gudmestad has such a beautiful way of presenting the very same material but in a manner that’s totally applicable to my role as a Yoga Therapist. She has already deeply informed the way I teach, practice and think about Yoga. I just love learning about asana from a Physical Therapists point of view, it makes so much sense to me.
This presentation is helping me to connect the dots from all my other varied yoga trainings and has given me so much more confidence. The size of each module/lessons is perfect as it gives me time to absorb information before building on it. The handouts and video workshops are a invaluable addition to my yoga resources. Having the scheduled online mentoring w Lynn Crimando really helps to personalize this experience. Her expertise inspires me and provides a forum where questions are explored. It’s also a great way to bond with other students. I’ll never stop being a student of Yoga, especially having YogaU so readily available and accessible to my lifestyle. I can log on and learn at any time of day.
This Yoga Wellness Certification is a perfect blend of science, art form, practicality and the magic one experiences in the (virtual) presence of the right teacher! My heart is open to you all, I’m just loving this.
Many thanks for all the professionalism, planning, organizing and dedication that you all possess.
Namaste.

Yoga U's Wellness Instructor Course is packed with rich detail that has deepened my knowledge as a Yoga Teacher - and I've only completed 2 Modules! It is clear and concise and is comprised of bite-sized lessons, quizzes to be sure I have understood everything, Q & A sessions - the questions are always thoughtful and helpful - as well as a yoga practice session incorporating the materiel that I've just learned into a Yoga class.
I've listened to two of the mentoring session which are also good, and Lynn can talk from her head as well as her heart. I get a lot out of these, but want to say that because I am an International student, I am not able to participate live in real time (it is 1 a.m. here when they begin!) I think the maximum benefit would be to be logged in while it is happening.
In summary, so far I think the course - though expensive - is good value for money. I'm getting so much out of it.
~Cathy Genevie
At this point my feedback for the course is all positive! I love the material as it is answering questions I have had for years and is giving me the confidence I am looking for to be the best teacher I can be. It is extremely comprehensive and going beyond my expectations. I am trying to take the time I need to really allow the material to set in but I have to admit I am also excited to get to the next chapter of this really good novel! For that reason, I am also very thankful that the material will be available on line for years to come!
~Carolyn E.
"Thank you to Julie Gudmestad for her terrific online course. I appreciate her organization and presentation of the material so much. It is hard for me to get to local workshops, so this format was a great resource for me to further my knowledge. Thank you to YogaUOnline for this contemporary delivery of valuable knowledge." ~C. Hales
"YogaU's offerings are the best online learning resource I have, and well worth the investment for keeping informed, reinforcing, and enhancing my learning and understanding of the teaching and practice of yoga."
~M. Morningglory
"I am even more aware now of how awesome this online learning resource is for us yoga teachers and how much I have come to rely on it as a go-to place for my professional development. I really appreciate the incredibly high quality of content that YogaU offers at such a reasonable price!" ~ S. Crandall
"There is a critical need in the modern western world for up-to-date accurate information concerning the practice of yoga. YogaUOnline is consistently presenting knowledge & skills in webinars & seminars with 1st class instructors, offering all the opportunity of honing their yoga teaching & practice. Thank you!"

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE TRACK 2 MENTORING PROGRAM:
I've very much benefitted from the two mentoring calls to date. I was present for both. I'm also very much looking forward to the coming call. Thank you for your knowledge and ability to shift focus to address different group characteristics, in terms of professional skill sets and backgrounds.
My sense is that most of us are on-going learners and are present with a desire to broaden our skill base, which will include the health benefits from the perspective of new information about yoga. The marketing piece is of interest but without the physical therapy skills you represent, I would be less involved. The videos have been of a good quality and certainly generated in me a desire to test my new learning in a class setting in the near future. Your training in yoga therapy exceeds in quality my previous exposure with those with whom I completed the 500 hr teacher certification. Thanks for having your finger on the pulse and for sharing so generously.

I found my first mentor call to be informative and a nice way to connect with fellow students. Lynn is a wonderful teacher and facilitator who has a wealth of wisdom to share and does so with humor and ease.
